WWE SmackDown PREVIEW after Fastlane: What’s next for Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair? | WWE | Sport

Shane McMahon statement

Shane McMahon shocked the WWE Universe last Sunday at Fastlane when he attacked his former tag team partner The Miz.

McMahon and Miz failed to regain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships when they took on The Usos.

After their loss Shane-O-Mac attacked The A-Lister from behind and made him pass out to a Triangle Choke in front of his own father.

The ex-European Champion will explain his actions tonight.

Samoa Joe vs R-Truth

Samoa Joe won the US Championship last week on Smackdown from R-Truth in a Fatal 4-Way Match that also included Rey Mysterio and Andrade.

Joe retained the title at Fastlane in a match that included the exact same competitors.

However, The Destroyer never defeated Truth as he pinned Andrade last week and made Mysterio pass out to the Coquina Clutch on Sunday.

R-Truth will get his rematch for the US Championship tonight.

Tag Team action

Sheamus, Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev ganged up on NXT call-ups Aleister Black and Ricochet last week on SmackDown.

The assault took place after Black and The One and Only defeated The Bar in a Tag Team Match.

But the exciting young stars were saved by The Hardy Boyz who rushed to the ring and cleaned house.

Tonight Black and Ricochet will team up with Matt and Jeff Hardy to take on Sheamus, Cesaro, Nakamura and Rusev in an Eight Man Tag Team Match.

Kofi Kingston update

WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon added Kofi Kingston to the WWE Championship Match against Kevin Owens and title-holder Daniel Bryan at Fastlane.

However, this proved to be a trick as McMahon instead put Kingston in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against Sheamus and Cesaro of The Bar.

The New Day member has been seething ever since but is not giving up on his title pursuit.

McMahon will address the ex-Intercontinental Champion tonight with an important announcement.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair status

Becky Lynch finally found her way back to the RAW Women’s Championship picture and will face Charlotte Flair as well as title-holder Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35.

Lynch earned that spot after defeating Charlotte at Fastlane when Rousey attacked her and handed her a disqualification victory.

The Queen is scheduled to appear tonight and so should The Man.
