WWE news: AJ Styles delivers MAJOR update about his future ahead of WrestleMania 35 | WWE | Sport

According to reports, Styles and Vince McMahon’s promotion have been negotiating a new deal in the past few weeks.

A recent story claimed The Phenomenal One has signed a fresh contract with the company.

The two-time world champion, however, retweeted the story and denied the report saying he has yet to re-sign.

Styles tweeted: “What was that? Are you sure? Please let me know the more because I know nothing about this.”

The 41-year-old legend is one of WWE’s biggest stars thanks to his stunning in-ring skills, high-flying manoeuvres and entertaining promos.

Styles made a name for himself in the independent circuit as well as Ring of Honor.

The former US Champion, though, became an international star when he joined TNA in 2002.

Styles became a three-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion and a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

He also had a number of stunning encounters against wrestling legends like Sting, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy and many more.

The high-flyer also played a big part in the careers of various other stars like Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Christopher Daniels and more.

After 12 years at Impact Wrestling he returned to the indy scene and then had a successful run in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Styles became IWGP Heavyweight Champion, joined the legendary Bullet Club and had an amazing encounter with Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestle Kingdom 10.

It started to seem like he would never join WWE but he then shocked the wrestling world with his memorable Royal Rumble debut in 2016.

The North Carolina-native quickly rose through the ranks as he became WWE Champion less than a year after joining McMahon’s promotion.

He also defeated the likes of John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho and many more.

Styles recently left a significant mark in WWE as he became the longest-reigning WWE Champion in SmackDown history thanks to his 371-day reign.

Reports suggest his contract will come up after WrestleMania 35 in April and he has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.
