Lukaku was in fine form at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night as he netted a first-half brace to give United a real chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to keep the Belgian hitman on the pitch as the Red Devils chased the goal they needed to secure progress late into the game.
It was Lukaku’s strike partner Marcus Rashford who delivered the goods in injury time, slamming home a penalty after Kimpembe’s handball.
As his team-mates ran over to the United fans to celebrate at the full-time whistle, though, Lukaku showed his caring side towards the unfortunate PSG defender.
Lukaku picked up Kimpembe off the Parc des Prince pitch after the Frenchman had slumped to his haunches in sorrow.
And he embraced the 23-year-old, whose error handed Rashford the opportunity to stun PSG and knock them out of the Champions League.
Lukaku appeared to share a few words of wisdom with his young opponent, who will have to dust himself down again.
The United striker then went on to celebrate with his team-mates, after the became the first side in Champions League history to bounce back from a 2-0 first leg defeat at home.
