16:30 UPDATE: Lakers bid for Davis in full
In case you missed the revelations last night, this is the full deal the Lakers have offered the Pelicans for Anthony Davis.
Magic Johnson has offered Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, Bradley Beasley and two first round picks.
In return, the Lakers will get Davis and Solomon Hill – and the latter would only be joining to ease the salary cap in New Orleans.
The Pelicans are yet to respond to the proposal.

16:20 UPDATE: Davis reasons for contract snub
Anthony Davis had his reasons for rejecting a new deal at the pelicans, claims NBA expert Ronald Agers.
“The announcement of Anthony Davis refusing to sign the five-year $240 million dollar contract and request a trade from New Orleans showed a couple of things,” he wrote for the Lake Show Life.
“Number one, this is a power move set up, ‘allegedly’ by LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Rich Paul, the head of Klutch Sports Group.”
He added: “Number two, the Lakers know something behind the scenes that scare them to death. Plain and simple.”

16:10 UPDATE: Pistons eye Conley deal
Detroit Pistons are ready to make a move for Mike Conley, who is not needed at the Grizzlies.
The two clubs are discussing a trade for Conley that could seen Reggie Jackson move in the opposite direction – plus a first-round pick in the 2019 draft.
The Pistons are enduring a mundane season in the Eastern Conference and thoughts are already turning to next campaign.
The Grizzlies are yet to accept Detroit’s offer but are considering it, the Detroit Free Press claim.

16:00 UPDATE: Anthony Davis request snubbed
Anthony Davis has had his request to leave New Orleans rejected by the club.
Davis made the request last week knowing that the Lakers and Celtics are interested in his services.
ESPN journalist Chris Haynes claims the Pelicans are having none of it.
“New Orleans star Anthony Davis eagerly sought to make his return last night against Indiana, but was rebuffed by management,” he wrote. “There’s the impression that his absence could potentially extend until the conclusion of Thursday’s trade deadline, sources said.”

15:40 UPDATE: Celtics plan rival Davis offer
Boston Celtics are ready to launch a rival bid for Anthony Davis – but may have to use Jayson Tatum as a makeweight in the deal.
Sports Illustrated report that Boston are reluctant to surrender Tatum but that may be the only way to get the Pelicans to the table before Thursday’s trade deadline.
Indeed, New Orleans reckon Tatum himself may be free at the end of the season and could be tempted to join forces with Davis at the Pelicans next term.
It’s currently a stand-off between Davis and his club, who are refusing to let the star leave.

15:30 UPDATE: Jimmy Butler latest
Philadelphia may be preparing to offload Jimmy Butler if the relationship between the team and its star player continues to sour.
Butler only joined the 76ers in November last year but the honeymoon period is already over.
The Ringer speculate that Philadelphia made a mistake moving for Butler when they did – and that the team are now paying for it.
And bosses at the team are now worried Butler could leave in free agency at the end of the season, leaving the team no better off than when they started.

15:20 UPDATE: Jazz close to deal decision
Utah Jazz are set to decide whether to stick or twist before the transfer deadline.
The Jazz want a third man to add to their franchise superstars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.
A number of players have been linked to Utah and the club could move to make a deal before Thursday.
But SLC Dunk claim the Jazz are willing to stay away from any trades, reserve cap space until the end of the season and then go for one of Khris Middleton, Tobias Harris, Kemba Walker or Klay Thompson.
15:00 UPDATE: Anthony Davis to Lakers latest
Anthony Davis is a wanted man, with the Los Angeles Lakers sweating on an offer for the New Orleans man.
The Lakers are understood to have made their move for Davis and that the player is ready to jump ship to join LeBron James out west.
The Pelicans know they are in for a battle to keep Davis and may decide it’s not worth trying to convince the superstar to stay.
