Manjurul Ahsan Munshi seeks cancellation of student coordinator nomination
The national election of Bangladesh will be held on February 12, 2026. Hasnat Abdullah will contest from the Comilla-4 constituency on behalf of the NCP in that election. Meanwhile, BNP candidate Manjurul Ahsan Munshi has applied for the cancellation of Hasnat’s nomination papers. Today (January 9), Friday, he has applied to the Bangladesh Election Commission.
Earlier, on Thursday, the Chamber Court suspended the High Court order excluding the name of BNP candidate Manjurul Ahsan Munshi from the list of loan defaulters. The court of Chamber Justice Md. Rezaul Haque gave this order. As a result, he will not be able to participate in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election, the lawyers said.
Several coordinations of the NCP have participated in the 13th election of Bangladesh. But the Election Commission has canceled the nominations of the coordinators one by one. After the cancellation of the nomination papers, several candidates have appealed against the cancellation. The hearing of the appeal will begin tomorrow, January 10. And the hearing will end on January 18.
