Manchester United picked up yet another victory under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Leicester.

with an emphatic finish after a lovely chipped through ball from Paul Pogba.

United failed to create too many other clear cut chances while Jamie Vardy and Rachid Ghezzal worked David De Gea at the other end.

However, United clung on to secure all three points and extend their unbeaten run under Solskjaer to 10 matches.

Express Sport has rated how the Manchester United players performed during their clash with Leicester – do you agree?

GK: David De Gea – 7

Couple of easy saves in the first half but worked harder after the break, denying Vardy and Ghezzal.

RB: Ashley Young – 6

Struggled to find his range of passing with several good counter-attack opportunities wasted.

Gave Romelu Lukaku a piece of his mind late on, complaining about a lack of movement.

CB: Eric Bailly – 8

Dealt comfortably with Vardy all afternoon, including winning a wrestling match on the touchline, and took a shot to the face from Demarai Gray.

An excellent return to form that may give United pause before investing in a centre-back this summer.

CB: Victor Lindelof – 8

In a rich vein of form and looked solid alongside Bailly.

Arguably United’s best defender in recent weeks and continued to show his worth with a superb display in the air and on the deck.

LB: Luke Shaw – 8

Brilliant all afternoon, offering United a ready outlet and driving forward at every opportunity.

Snappy in the tackle and stood out with his ball retention.

CM: Nemanja Matic – 8

Hauled down Ricardo Pereira to prevent a counter just before the break and was lucky to stay on the pitch after a nasty challenge on Harvey Barnes.

Made tackles (and fouls) when necessary and was a key factor in United grinding out the result.

CM: Ander Herrera – 7

The Spaniard was instrumental on his return to the side, ticking things over in the middle and sweeping up when necessary.

Herrera undoubtedly makes Matic more effective, and Solskjaer needs to keep them both fit if they stand a chance of making the top four.

CM: Paul Pogba – 7

A delightful chipped ball to Rashford opened the scoring and set the tone for a powerful display from the Frenchman.

Carried the ball exceptionally, particularly as his team-mates tired late on.

RAM: Jesse Lingard – 6

Always full of endeavour and his movement causes problems, but his touch let him down on occasions.

Unlucky to go in the book after tangling with James Maddison on a Leicester break.

LAM: Alexis Sanchez – 5

A quiet start to the game and never really recovered, although the Chilean can’t be accused of a lack of effort.

Still yet to really take off at Old Trafford.

ST: Marcus Rashford – 7

A clinical finish after Pogba’s lovely pass was the one real moment of quality in a scrappy match.

Missed a glorious headed chance before his goal but offers so much more than Lukaku in a central role

On to provide a different threat in the closing stages forced a good save with one curling effort, but needs to do more off the ball.

Brought on to help batten down the hatches.
