Manchester United hitman Lukaku scored a brace as the Red Devils beat PSG in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Belgium international went into the showdown at the Parc des Princes on a hot streak having bagged braces in Premier League victories over Southampton and Crystal Palace respectively.
But, on the biggest stage of them all, Lukaku scored another two goals to help Manchester United keep their dreams of European glory alive.
He opened the scoring after two minutes and netted again after Juan Bernat had found the net for PSG.
And he was still on the pitch when Rashford bagged the winning goal from 12 yards in the 90th minute.
Video footage has now surfaced, though, that appears to show Lukaku celebrating in the face of Di Maria.
Di Maria spent just a year at United earlier in his career and was jeered when PSG won at Old Trafford in February.
But the Argentine was unable to operate at the peak of his powers last night with the Red Devils managing to nullify his attacking threat.
Footage appears to show Lukaku wheeling round to shout at the 29-year-old following Rashford’s goal.
Meanwhile, United fans will no doubt love the way ESPN pundit Craig Burley ripped into Di Maria following his display last night.
“There’s another bottle job, Di Maria,” he said.
“He swans around Ligue 1, didn’t have the stomach for the Man United gig and the Premier League.
“That’s because Man United were struggling at the time, and as a big player when you go to your club and they’re struggling, you have to roll your sleeves up even more and show your quality.
“And he couldn’t wait to get out of there.
“He goes to Ligue 1 and he’s swanning around and showing off the talent that we all know he’s got.
“They’re 17 points clear with a game in hand, so effectively 20.
“But when him and his mates are needed on a big night against a poor Man United side, they couldn’t do it.
“Why the hell are they writing cheques for this club? For what, to win Ligue 1? Because there’s no sign of them winning the Champions League. No sign whatsoever.”
