Kevin Durant: NBA fans go WILD as Jayson Tatum DESTROYS Warriors star in Celtics win | Other | Sport

The Warriors’ superstar was set free by Steph Curry with the entire half of the court to himself, and seemed ready for an easy dunk.

However, as he was about to slam the ball home, Tatum appeared out of nowhere behind him.

The 21-year-old launched himself from behind Durant and grabbed the ball from his hands.

Tatum then threw the ball down court to Kyrie Irving, who drew a foul from Jordan Bell.

Fans went crazy after the steal and immediately took to Twitter to praise the youngster.

One fan simply wrote: “Holy s***.”

“Jayson Tatum.. the snake charmer,” another posted.

“Lmao Tatum absolutely destroyed Durant,” one other fan wrote.

“Jayson Tatum went Jason Statham on Kevin Durant on that block!” laughed another.

One more fan posted: “OMG! Tatum just ABUSED Durant! Awesome!”

“Kevin Durant got his soul snatched by Jayson Tatum,” another joked.

“Jayson Tatum just punished Kevin Durant,” one fan wrote.

Another joked: “Condolences to the Durant parents for the block that Jayson Tatum just put on your son.”

The Celtics were impressive in their win over the Warriors, having gone into the half 73-48 up, and the result was the worst defeat for the Warriors at home under Steve Kerr.

It was a rare highlight for the Celtics after a poor run of form which saw them lose five of their last six games.

Boston remain fifth in the NBA’s Eastern Conference, three games back from the Philadelphia 76ers, and take on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.
