Ivo Karlovic and Marcel Granollers have gone head-to-head in Montpellier today in the Open Sud de France first round.

Croatian ace Karlovic and Spanish star Granollers have taken a set each with a third to decide who will reach the Last 16.

Last year’s tournament was won by Lucas Rouille who reached the Australian Open semi-final in January.

Express Sport has rounded up the ATP World Ranking stats for Ivo Karlovic and Marcel Granollers.

Ivo Karlovic ATP World Ranking

Karlovic is a veteran star on the ATP tour.

The 39-year-old turned pro in 2000 and has racked up more than £7million ($9.8m) in prize money during that time.

His current ATP World Ranking is No 78 with his record-high of No 14 coming in August 2008.

The 6’11” star is an unmistakable figure on the court and enjoyed his greatest success as he reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals in 2009.

Marcel Granollers ATP World Ranking

Granollers is another experienced player on the tour after turning pro in 2003.

The 32-year-old has racked up a near-identical prize money haul to Karlovic with over £7m ($9.9m) banked from tournaments around the world.

His current ATP World Ranking is No 110 but reached as high as No 19 in July 2012.

He has enjoyed greater success on the doubles courts with 16 career doubles titles to his name and his highest ranking placed at No 4 in 2013.
