Interim government a complete failure: Mirza Fakhrul Islam
In a meeting with journalists on the morning of January 12, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul said that Dr. Mohammad Yunus has failed. When asked by journalists why he failed, he said that there are many illegal weapons in Bangladesh ahead of the upcoming 13th national election. There has been no improvement in law and order in Bangladesh since the past coup. However, he is also hopeful that Dr. Mohammad Yunus will solve this problem very soon. He made such comments in a meeting with journalists in Thakurgaon today.
Mirza Fakhrul said on the Mustafiz issue – our honor and the honor of the country are related to Bangladesh cricket. Therefore, we will agree with the decision that the Bangladesh Cricket Board will take in this regard. I hope that all the decisions of the BBC will not harm our honor and the country. Mirza Fakhrul, mentioning the contribution of BNP in the country’s politics and its restructuring, said, ‘BNP is a tested political party. The transition from a single-party democracy to a multi-party democracy, reforms, free journalism as well as ensuring the independence of the judiciary – all this has been done by BNP in the past.
Mirza Fakhrul also said that if the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) forms the government, it will resolve the issue of fair water distribution of international and common rivers. India will take our fair share of water into account, but that will be through discussions. We will take the country forward by maintaining good relations with India. They are behaving like this because we are behaving undesirably with them. I think that if we try to have good relations with India, they will not behave badly either.
He also said that fascists are a factor for those who talk big from abroad, not for us. We know how to fight fascists. In the past year, we have shown how to fight fascists.
Regarding the cancellation of Tarique Rahman’s tour to the northern region, Mirza Fakhrul said, Tarique Rahman’s North Bengal is his fatherland and he will definitely visit North Bengal.
