Everton appointed Silva last summer having initially targeted the highly-rated boss when he was in charge at Vicarage Road.
And he arrived on Merseyside to plenty of fanfare as supporters began to believe a new golden era was on the cards.
Silva has failed to live up to his burgeoning reputation, however, with Everton down in ninth in the Premier League.
And his problems were compounded on Saturday as the Toffees suffered a dismal 1-0 defeat to his former club Watford.
The loss, sealed by Andre Gray’s 65th-minute goal, was their seventh in their past 10 games in all competitions.
And Everton fans are now desperate for Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright to pull the trigger to end Silva’s tenure.
“Marco Silva OUT,” wrote one furious supporter on Twitter.
“When is Marco Silva getting the sack?” said another, clearly unhappy with the Portuguese coach.
“Marco silva couldn’t inspire me to get off the f****** sofa go to the fridge and get a beer and that’s saying something I’m a devil for a drink..sack him now,” joked a third fan.
“Why’s everyone saying we are gunna get relagated but still back Marco silva ? If you think we are gunna eat relagated get the Portuguese **** out of the club,” added a fourth.
“I can’t find a single positive to say about Marco Silva,” fumed one supporter.
“9 losses in last 13 games for Everton, Marco Silva is doing a great job,” quipped one sarcastic Twitter user.
And Silva faces an anxious wait to see if he will be given time to turn things around at Goodison Park.
Everton are not in action for another two weeks, when they will take on a resurgent Cardiff.
Moshiri and co. may see now as the perfect opportunity to change managers in a bid to kickstart their season.
