The transit Moon passes through the sign of Taurus the Bull between Monday, February 11, and Tuesday, February 12. Taurus is the second star sign of the zodiac and represents one of the four Earth elements. In astrology, Taurus is said to be the zodiac of patience, devotion, stability and a good sense of reliability. People who are born under the strong influence of Taurus are often considered stubborn but romantic, weary of complications, devoted but also insecure at times.
Today, the Moon in Taurus forms a square aspect with the Sun in Aquarius.
A square aspect describes a 90-degree angle between two bodies on the celestial planes.
In today’s horoscope, this means situations might get a little bit tenser than you might like.
According to astrologer Debra Silverman of Astrology Answers, people born under Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius will feel this tension strongest today.
The astrologer said: “Aquarius is very detached and their gift this lifetime is not being identified with the ‘norm’.
“Their gift is being able to step aside and be the observer, the social scientist, watching this life and being free enough financially or socially or religious-wise or politically, to stand apart from the group.
“However, the Moon in Taurus is very attached to security, to religion, to politics and their opinions – they’re both fixed.
“This is always what happens during a square. They’re in the same mode – mode – that’s astrology.
“So when there are two people inside of your head that are both fixed and that’s what happens – we have different characters who live inside of us – and they are both very strong opinions and you’re living with that. It creates conflict.
Aquarius is the 11th star sign of the zodiac in the constellation Aquarius.
The star sign is said to represent humanitarian causes, independence and progressiveness.
Likewise, people born under the influence of Aquarius are said to spend their time helping others, fighting for various causes and are good listeners.
Today, a part of you will want to be charitable, generous and open-minded and maybe even consider a change of career.
But Taurus will counteract against this by demanding stability and security in your life above all else.
Ms Silverman said: “That’s a real conflict that lives inside of a person.”
The Moon in Taurus is also joined by Saturn, Venus and Pluto in Capricorn, which will further accentuate Taurus’ need for grounding.
