That’s the view of pundit Jamie Redknapp with the Argentine striker having joined the Blues on loan.

Higuain will stay with Chelsea until the end of the season and scored twice on his home Premier League debut on Saturday.

He netted a brace in a 5-0 win over Huddersfield as Chelsea tightened their grip on fourth spot in the Premier League.

Sarri’s side are out of the running for the title in the Italian’s first season at Stamford Bridge.

He has come under pressure in recent weeks following a number of poor results, including a 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Chelsea last won the Premier League in 2017 under Antonio Conte.

Diego Costa was Chelsea’s star striker then while Didier Drogba helped the Blues to three titles during his time with the club.

And Redknapp believes Higuain, who previously worked under Sarri at Napoli, could be the manager’s saviour over the next few months.

“Chelsea’s five title-winning teams have one thing in common,” Redknapp wrote for the Daily Mail.

“Jose Mourinho brought Didier Drogba to the club in his first season and the striker was a key component in Chelsea’s triumphs in 2005 and 2006.

“He then struck 29 goals in 32 games to fire Carlo Ancelotti’s side to the Double in 2010.

“The arrival of Diego Costa inspired Chelsea to a third title under Mourinho in 2015 and another under Antonio Conte.

“Since Conte fell out with Costa, Chelsea have lacked a snarling, physical presence at the top of their team. Until now.

“Maurizio Sarri has not had an A-list centre-forward to work with. Gonzalo Higuain may be a quick fix but you cannot doubt his quality. He can be the missing piece in Sarri’s tactical plan.

“Let’s see how Chelsea fare with a proper focal point before jumping to conclusions about their manager.”

Chelsea are next in action as they visit Manchester City on Sunday (4pm).
