Boxing News – Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder statement

’s promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed he’s confident a heavyweight title unification fight with will come to fruition this year following the news ‘The Bronze Bomber’ has opened a dialogue with DAZN.

“It’s fantastic,” Hearn said after learning of the news, “I think we’ve got a brilliant chance of making the Joshua fight. The only way that deal was ever gonna get made was doing it this way – the John Skipper way.

“He’s gotta be the one, in my opinion, that brokers the deal. He’s already proved that he’s very good at doing that. And I think he will get Wilder, I do. I think that he will put the deal together for Wilder to fight Joshua.”

Boxing News – Terence Crawford makes Amir Khan vow

Terence Crawford has promised to put on a show in his welterweight showdown with Amir Khan next month.

“It’s always been my goal to fight the best fighters out there,” the WBO welterweight king said. “I look at Amir Khan as one of the top fighters in my division.

“I know some people are writing him off, but I am by no means overlooking him.

“He’s a former unified world champion, and come April 20, I’ll be looking to go out there to seek and destroy.

“I’m excited about this fight because I believe it can push my career to another level.”

Boxing News – Tyson Fury update

’s promoter Frank Warren has revealed ‘The Gypsy King’ will be back in the ring by June at the latest.

“It was agreed that Fury will have a fight sometime in May or June,” Warren told BT Sport.

“First of all we’ve got to sort out the venue and date.

“Then after that, I would like to see him have the rematch.

“He’s going to fight somebody who’s in the top five and that’s what he’ll do and then after that we’ll get to the [Wilder] fight.”
