The fun isn’t over yet. Following the staggering success of Bohemian Rhapsody at the box office and awards season, there is still more to come. Queen fans will be ecstatic to learn about a brand new exciting project involving all the filmmakers. Brian May has already teased they would all be open to the idea of a movie sequel, but that would obviously be a few years down the line. However, this April will see the release of a major new Queen project.

Adam Lambert tweeted the thrilling news.

The American Idol star had a small cameo in , but some fans had wondered why he didn’t play Freddie Mercury on screen.

Ever since 2012, the multi-octave singer has brought his own unique flair to the music of Queen, touring and performing with Brian May and Roger Taylor. Now a major new documentary will explore their remarkable journey, ever since they all first met in 2009. The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story is out at the end of April.

Lambert tweeted: “So excited about our documentary The Show Must Go On – The Queen + Adam Lambert Story airing on @ABCNetwork on April 29th.”

The in-depth feature will include interviews with Rami Malek, as well as Lambert’s proud parents, Leila and Eber.

Not only that, Simon Cowell himself will reminisce about the singers star-making time on American Idol, where he finished runner-up in 2008.

Not only did the new combination which is billed as Queen + Adam Lambert bring the singer to a worldwide audience, it reinvigorated May and Taylor’s commitment to keeping the legacy of the band and Freddie Mercury alive.

As yet there is no information when the documentary will air on UK channels.
