Evening…

18:40: Welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Europa League from the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners welcome their Ligue 1 opponents trailing 3-1 from last Thursday’s first leg.

Now I’m no doom-monger – but since the inception of the Europa League in 2009-10, only one side has progressed to the following round after losing 3-1 in the first leg of a knockout tie.

That was an English side though – Fulham against Juventus in 2009.

London connection.

Anyway, I’ll be back to start the coverage after the conclusion of Dynamo Kiev vs Chelsea. Below are the line-ups.

Arsenal XI: Cech, Maintland-Niles, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Ramsey, Ozil, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Subs: Leno, Mkhitaryan, Torreira, Iwobi, Suarez, Guendouzi, Nketiah.

Rennes XI: Koubek, Da Silva, Mexer, Bensebaini, Traore, Sarr, Grenier, Bourigeaud, Andre, Niang, Ben Arfa.

Subs: Badiashile, Zeffane, Doumbia, Gelin, Siliki, Del Castillo, Hunou.

ARSENAL vs RENNES

Arsenal will assess Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s back injury ahead of their Europa League last-16 second leg with Rennes.

Mkhitaryan missed Sunday’s Premier League win over his former club Manchester United but trained on Wednesday and will have a check before the game.

Alexandre Lacazette is available after UEFA reduced his three-match suspension to two games on appeal, while Lucas Torreira returns from a domestic ban. Sokratis Papastathopoulos is suspended, though, after his red card in last week’s 3-1 first-leg loss in France.

Arsenal provisional squad: Leno, Cech, Maitland-Niles, Lichtsteiner, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Koscielny, Mavropanos, Monreal, Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Elneny, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan, Suarez, Ramsey, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette, Nketiah.
