The New Orleans Pelicans star requested a trade last week, and is keen to leave as soon as possible.

However, it may be the case that the Pelicans hold onto him until the summer, as they wait to hear what offers come in from the Boston Celtics.

Last week, it was suggested by NBA expert Chris Ryan that the Warriors could make a move for the superstar partly as they could lose Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson in free agency this summer.

But now, Kerr has dampened expectations by insisting that there are no plans for the Warriors to make any trades before the deadline.

The back-to-back NBA Champions acquired DeMarcus Cousins in the summer before the season began, further strengthening their already-unstoppable roster.

And the head coach spoke to NBC Sports to suggest that there will be no new additions.

“I don’t sense that we’re in a position this year where anybody is worried – nor should they be,” Kerr said Monday.

“The sense in here is, (trade deadline anxiety) that’s everybody else’s problem.

“We’re in a different position, where we have our team.

“We have an empty roster spot, so we might add somebody.

“But the chances of us making a trade are highly unlikely and Bob [Myers, Warriors general manager] will probably tell you the same thing.”

The Warriors are expected to use as much of their salary cap space as possible to convince Durant and Thompson to stay this summer.

Both stars have the option to leave the franchise at the end of the season, but neither is said to be actively seeking a move.

Davis is expected to seal a move to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The star has been the subject of six trade offers over the past week, and a deal is set to be concluded before Thursday’s deadline.
