Lily is a 17-year-old schoolgirl. She last met her elder sister on Saturday, January 10. Lily was seen by Shobha when her elder sister Shobha went to the gym at around 1:30 pm. Shobha came home from the gym and saw Lily lying down. Shobha initially thought she had fainted. But Shobha was surprised when she removed Lily’s hijab. She saw that Lily had first been slaughtered and then her throat was strangled with a rope. After that, Lily was put back on the hijab.
RAB-3 and RAB-6 conducted a joint operation in Bagerhat Sadar Police Station area in connection with this incident. A hotel worker named Milan was arrested as a suspect in the joint operation. This information was confirmed by RAB headquarters today, Monday, January 12, 2026.
